 Turmeric stain on wooden slab in kitchen? i use turmeric in my indian cooking. diluted turmeric water got poured on the kitchen slab which is made of wood here. I tried cleaning it the next day, as i was busy with some work. Stain got seeped into the wood. Today when i tried cleaning with soap & lemon juice and scrub, partly stains are gone but some places it still remains. The kitchen slab here i think is a laminate sheet on wooden surface. there are a couple of scrathes because of using the scrubber we use to wash utensils. Is there some paste i can apply to remove the scratches. Some stains are still visible, can i remove it with something without spoiling the wood further? This is a rented house in USA, so want to clear the stains, so that I am not charged a BOMB when i vacate it. Please advise. I saw a few other postings where hydrogen peroxide was suggested. Would it affect the laminate sheet on the wood. Is there any other remedy, please suggest. 409 cleans out stains from my stuff that others won't or you could try soft scrub, it has alittle bleach in it and a bit of grit but not enough to hurt the wood....those things always work for me so good luck... |
