Official Drink of Summer 2006
Last year, in our house, White Wine Strawberry Sangria was our Official Drink of Summer 2005, and while we still enjoy that one immensely, it was time to nominate a new one. Enter Frozen Lemonade Cocktails. Cool, slushy, and refreshing, it could not be more perfect to beat the heat this Summer season. We keep the ingredients on hand, and can whip up a batch in minutes. A few swap outs and you can make a red, white or blue version for the patriotic you. Bottoms up!
Red, White and Blue Frozen Lemonade Cocktail
1 cup vodka
6 cups of ice
6-8 hulled strawberries
1 can of frozen lemonade
Mix well in blender and serve.
The above takes care of your red version. For blue, swap out the vodka and use blue curacao, nix the strawberries. And for the white, do the above as listed, but leave out the strawberries.
