A delicious alternative to traditional cranberry sauce, this mold makes a beautiful presentation at the table. It's a natural partner for the Thanksgiving turkey and also makes a wonderful accompaniment to roasted pork.
6 large Golden delicious apples
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1/4 cup Suzanne’s Specialties Maple Rice Nectar
3 tablespoons barley malt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch nutmeg
pinch sea salt
2 tablespoons avocado or light olive oil
4 lb. small Yukon Gold potatoes, skins on
and left whole
Salt, to taste, plus 1 Tbs.
4 Tbs. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, at
room temperature
1 3/4 cups half-and-half, warmed
1/2 cup sour cream, at room temperature
3 Tbs. roasted garlic paste
Freshly ground pepper, to taste
